It seems, to me, that no AFC team will dethrone the Patriots next season once again

The off-season is one of the craziest times of the year in the NFL. A lot happens that leaves fans with a lot of mixed emotions. So far, it seems to me that more NFC teams have gotten better than AFC teams. This tends to lead me to believe once again, the Patriots should make another Super Bowl run and continue to add to their resume.

Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs were the team that looked like the clear-cut favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Well of course, teams in the AFC (besides New England) have one big hiccup that can really put a dent into their season. Running Back Kareem Hunt was suspended the rest of the season and was released. Now Kansas City’s Wide-Receiver Tyreek Hill is now under investigation for allegations of battery. Right when you thought this was going to be the team to challenge the Patriots, mistakes could cost them.

The Pittsburg Steelers were another team that was thought to take over the AFC. Well that was wrong, because, they mismanaged players and ran two of their best players out of town.

The Los Angeles Chargers haven’t done much either. They signed a back-up Quarterback and a linebacker who’s been in the league since the early 2000s. What makes anyone believe they’ll beat the Patriots?  Obviously, their roster last season wasn’t good enough to beat them.

Do you believe in the Jets? Yeah, they got one of the best running backs in the league in Le’Veon Bell, but come on, Belichick is the G.O.A.T and he’ll find a way to slow him down.

Now, could the Cleveland Browns be the team who takes down New England? Not this year. The Browns just traded for one of the top Wide-Receivers in the league in Odell Beckham JR. A deal that no one saw coming. I believe the Browns will be very good, but I think Baker needs more snaps and possibly another year or two to develop.  By the way, the Patriots and Browns will be facing off this upcoming season in Foxboro.

My point is that this going to be another good year for the Patriots and Patriot fans should be excited. Yeah, they might start off slow, but we’ve seen that scenario before, as they always find a way to bounce back. They have added more depth on both sides of the ball, adding a good pass-rusher in Michael Bennett, bringing back Cornerback Jason McCourty and wide-receiver Phillip Dorsett, who signed on a one-year deal. It’s crazy how teams in the AFC always seem to find a way to screw everything up when they’re on their way up. I guess when Quarterback Tom Brady and Head Coach Bill Belichick retire, teams will finally dethrone the Patriots. However, as Patriot’s fan, we’ll continue to enjoy the fact that we are always watching football in January.
