Is It Time To Worry About the Boston Celtics?
Do the Boston Celtics suck? I’ll admit it, I did not expect the Celtics to be 6-4 through their first 10 games of the season. There was so much hype surrounding this team since Hayward and Irving were finally healthy. Now that the are, they’re underperforming. By underperforming, I mean they can’t figure it out on the offensive end. I’ll give the Celtics credit, they give up the third lowest points per game at 101.3 ppg. However, they are having trouble putting up points some nights.
Listen, the Celtics have so much depth, talent, and guys that can score the ball. Once each player on this team can figure out their role, then we will see how powerful they can be.
The big question the Celtics have to answer is who is their guy? Who is the leader of this team that will go out and score when necessary? You might think that is an easy question. However, Jayson Tatum was the go-to guy in last year’s postseason. We know he is capable of putting up big numbers, but now Irving is back on the court. Is this Celtics team too talented for their own good? Right now the answer to that question is, yes.
Yesterday news broke that Terry Rozier is unhappy with the amount of playing time he is receiving. To that, I say: What did you expect, Rozier?
With Hayward and Irving back healthy, Rozier moves down two spots on the totem pole. Rozier has also received 22 minutes per game this season. This is an immature move by Rozier if it’s true. If Ainge can get something good in return, then pull the trigger and trade him.
Unexpected early-season Celts subplot: Terry Rozier (restricted FA next summer) has been unhappy w/ his PT all season, word has gotten around the league, and everyone now knows the Celtics need to trade him… which, of course, makes it harder to trade him.

I’m not freaking out yet, but I am starting to get a little nervous. The Raptors are lighting teams up even when Kawhi Leonard doesn’t play!
As of right now, they are the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics will start to figure things out, but how many games will they be behind the Raptors? I am not overreacting, but expect a tight race to the finish line between the Cs and Raptors.
