Opening Day Reactions
The Red Sox are hot right now but it didn’t start out well for the team. After starting 0-3 against the Orioles, the guys gave their reactions to the Baltimore series and touched on the sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays. They discussed what they liked and what they didn’t like in the Baltimore series but also had good things to say about the series against Tampa Bay.
After a rough outing against Baltimore, starting pitcher Garrett Richards was not sent down to Triple A, meaning Tanner Houck was removed from the starting rotation after Eduardo Rodriguez was reinstated from the injured list and was pitching for the first time since 2019. The boys discussed their thoughts on the Houck situation and what Boston should do with him in the future.
Studs and Duds
Focusing on the team themselves, there have been some players who have been very impressive and have been very disappointing to start the season. Al, Zach and Sam gave one player who has been a stud and one player who has been a dud. Zach doesn’t know how to listen and gave a second player, and stole Sam’s thunder.
Preview of the Twins Series
After getting swept by the Orioles, Boston has won six straight games with sweeps of the Rays and Orioles. The next team they will be facing are no pushover and will be a good test for Boston. They will be taking on the Minnesota Twins next and the guys gave their thoughts and series predictions.
