If Nobody Else Will Notice Tom, I Will.

In the midst of an extremely unexpected just awful start by the Patriots defense. A 65 million dollar corner who just can’t seem to shake that Buffalo Bill that was engrained in him his first five seasons with the team. Two losses in their first four games, A team who we all thought maybe just maybe would make another run at 19-0. Although, There has been a bright spot that just doesn’t get the attention it should because it’s simply become just what is expected.

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady! This man, A 40-year-old playing a game which is undoubtedly a young mans game. In the preseason he lost his “Binky” and best buddy Julian Edelman to a non-contact season ending injury in their third preseason game. He has played behind an offensive line that has clearly fallen short of expectation, After returning all five starters from last seasons Super Bowl team. Now what has come out this week after he missed practice on Tuesday, He has “suffered what is thought to be a AC joint sprain in his left, non-throwing shoulder”, per Ian Rapport (@RapSheet). He isn’t expected to miss anytime however.

Leading a wild 36-33 comeback win against the Houston Texans, Capped off with a 25 yard touchdown pass to Cooks with only 23 seconds left on the clock. Coming back from two scores down in the fourth quarter against the Panthers only to have the defense puke all over themselves again. He has been nothing short of spectacular through five games. He hasn’t skipped a beat leading the NFL in passing yards and tied for third in touchdown passes with 1702 yards and 11 touchdown passes respectively. Playing at such a high level, he’s giving this Patriots team time to figure out whatever it is they need to help this man go on another extended playoff run. Because we all know he will be good to go when January rolls around.

I know we’re all disappointed with the defense, and are upset with our shiny new first day of free agency signing, who just doesn’t seem to be getting it. But we have to take just a minute, between all the well deserved bashing of the obvious struggles of this team and not just gloss over what he’s been doing, again, for a 17th season at age 40. If nobody wants to talk about it I know I sure will, Thank you Tom for just being simply amazing… Just about all the time.
