Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Negative MRI On Left Knee

Today. Woj tweeted that Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had a negative MRI on his left knee.

Late in the third quarter, Giannis went up to contest a shot by Clint Capela but came down and landed very awkwardly.

Giannis’ left knee went all the way back and he was visibly in pain. When the fall occurred, everyone immediately assumed it was an ACL. But today it looked like just a hyperextension and no structural damage.  Giannis’ time table for return is unclear.

I am glad this is the news that we received. I would have felt horrible if he went down with an ACL especially with how well him and the Bucks are playing. Not to mention, I think a Phoenix-Milwaukee final would be great.  I personally think he will return for tomorrow night’s game five in Milwaukee. I can’t imagine he will practice tomorrow or even attempt a shot until game time.

Personally, I fully expect Giannis to play tomorrow and for the Bucks to take game 5 and then game 6 in Atlanta to send them to their first NBA Finals in years! Thank God that Giannis is okay and will be back sooner rather than later!
