Fantasy Football: Week 9 Studs and Duds

Studs

Los Angeles Rams v Oakland Raiders

Jared Goff, QB Los Angeles Rams: Goff had his first 4 TD performance of the season against a Giants team that looks like they’ve just about given up.  Aside from a couple of risky match ups in the future I believe Goff can finish the year as a top-12 fantasy QB and deserves to be owned in most leagues.

alvin kamara

Alvin Kamara, RB New Orleans Saints: Kamara led all RBs in scoring this week and is starting to get into the best rookie RB discussion alongside Fournette and Kareem Hunt.  Going forward I am comfortable trusting Kamara as a RB2 especially in PPR formats.

t.y.-hilton

T.Y. Hilton, WR Indianapolis Colts: Hilton was the top scorer among all positions in week 9, which is something you used to see from him a lot more often with Andrew Luck behind the reins.  I’d honestly try to move Hilton for what hes worth now because I don’t think these types of performances are going to be repeated.

Jared Cook, TE Oakland Raiders: While Cook didn’t manage to get into the end zone, his stat-line was top notch for a TE in week 9.  Mustering up 8 catches for 126 yards he lands in the TE spot for my Studs this week.

Duds

kirk-cousins-washington-redskins

Kirk Cousins, QB Washington Redskins: Despite getting the win in Seattle (thanks to Blair Walsh missing 3 Field Goals) Cousin’s stat-line was pretty bad.  No Touchdowns and an INT made his 8.3 fantasy points the lowest he has had this season.

C.J. Anderson

C.J. Anderson, RB Denver Broncos: Anderson has not been good lately and I think is even drop able in some 10 team leagues.  With only gaining 13 yards on 9 carries against the Eagles, I think DeVonte Booker eats into his carries and he will get less opportunities moving forward.

AJ Green

A.J. Green, WR Cincinnati Bengals: Before getting ejected from the game, Green was being held in check by Jalen Ramsay.  Which I guess bothered Green a bit because he decided to start throwing punches at Ramsay as well as taking him down by the neck… Talk about childish.

austin seferian jenkins

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE New York Jets: Seferian-Jenkins hasn’t done much the past two weeks but I think him and the Jets will figure it out against Tampa this week.  He is a talented player who deserves more targets in crucial situations.
