Fantasy Football: Week 5 Waiver Adds

Another week of football almost done! We have got the Kansas City Chiefs playing at the Denver Broncos tonight on Monday Night Football, but then we are on to week 5. So which guys should you add to your fantasy team for week 5 and on?

Taylor Gabriel WR, Chicago Bears- Just like everyone predicted, Mitch Tribusky threw for 6 touchdowns on Sunday. But I am not looking at him. I am interested in one of the wideouts for the Chicago Bears, Taylor Gabriel.

Gabriel had a monster game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers snagging 7 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Now, you can’t and shouldn’t expect Gabriel to score multiple times again this season but in PPR formats he is definitely worth a look. He hasn’t had less than four catches in a game this season and you saw how much of an impact he had with rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller being out due to a shoulder issue (owned in 6.6% of ESPN.com leagues).

T.J. Yeldon RB, Jacksonville Jaguars- The Jacksonville Jaguars are a good team that pride themselves on defense and running the football. Their plan is typically to let the defense do its thing, then hand the ball off to Leonard Fournette. Too bad Fournette can’t stay healthy.

With the running back position being where it is in fantasy football, Yeldon has to be owned everywhere. Somehow on ESPN he is owned in less than half the leagues. This is ridiculous because even when Fournette is in the lineup the Jags still use Yeldon on offense as a change of pace guy. The former Alabama product is a good receiver out of the backfield and will continue to put up decent numbers even if Fournette plays.

Taywan Taylor WR, Tennessee Titans- This is definitely not a sexy name. This a pretty big sleeper pick but the Titans offense looked pretty good against the defending Super Bowl champs; Taylor was a part of that.

No he isn’t the top option (Corey Davis) but there is no one else to catch passes for Tennessee. Dion Lewis will catch 5 balls but who else? Delaine Walker is done for the year. Rishard Matthews was just cut. Taylor though? He is an explosive player who will surely get more touches as the season goes on. We saw what he is capable of yesterday with a 7 catch 9 target performance.
