With week two just about done you might be looking at your waiver wire and thinking to yourself how can I improve my team. Some teams might be looking to make a splash to help get their first win of the year in week three. Others are looking to bolster their rosters and should get guys that can be of some help in a multitude of ways. Nonetheless I am here to give you everything you need for the waiver wire in week number three. With that being said here are my must adds in the waiver wire this week.
Derek Carr (Owned in 16.5 percent of ESPN leagues)
Here is my must add quarterback for week three on the waiver wire. If you are struggling at quarterback, or you quarterback is banged up at the moment. Do yourself the favor now and go get Derek Carr. Carr has balled out in the first two weeks and is playing up to the MVP level we saw a few seasons ago before he got hurt. The Raiders QB has looked good against two defenses that people thought were going to be really good so far this year. Baltimore and Pittsburgh are two tough teams and Carr looked really good against them. I think Carr is going to finish inside the top ten now this year and I am picking him up to be the starting QB for a couple of my teams.
Rondale Moore (Owned in 19.3 percent of leagues)
Rondale Moore is a guy that if you don’t have him on your team right now, you should go grab him on the waiver wire. In week two he was targeted 8 times which led the team and he had 7 receptions 114 receiving yards and a touchdown to go along with it. The week before he was targeted 5 times and pulled in 4 receptions for 68 receiving yards. I think Moore’s role in this offense is going to keep increasing and if he is available in your league do yourself a favor and go right to the waiver wire and try to add him as soon as possible.
Darnell Mooney (Owned in 49.3 percent of leagues on ESPN)
Mooney was targeted the most in week number two for Chicago. He is going to be a solid guy to fill in on a starter’s bye week. With Fields looking like he is going to start soon, I would add Mooney. Those two have got some good chemistry and they could be a matchmade in heaven. Stash Mooney right now if he is available in your league and hold onto him because you might be able to move him when his value increases week after week.
Tony Pollard (Owned in 38.6 percent of leagues on ESPN)
This is going to be a popular waiver wire pickup this week and you should stash him immediately. Solid week number two for him having over a hundred rushing yards and added a touchdown. If something were to happen to Elliott, Pollard would come right in and easily be a must play. If you are in a deeper league, grab Pollard because he will help you. However, beware of the Zeke effect because if Zeke gets going then Pollard’s carries diminish and he becomes a non existent factor. Pollard is going to help keep teams on their toes. Look to stash him from the waiver wires this week.
Other Names To Monitor:
K.J. Obsorn (Owned in 1.1 percent of leagues on ESPN)
Name to definitely keep an eye on here. Osborn has fifteen targets in two games this year. If one of Thielen or Jefferson go down, he is going to be a must play.
Cordarrelle Patterson (Owned in 7.7 percent of leagues on ESPN)
With Mike Davis stinking so far in the first two weeks, the door is open for Patterson. We saw him contribute on Sunday and could easily keep it up further down the line.
