Fantasy Football Preview: Seattle vs Indianapolis

The first Sunday slate of the year is upon us for fantasy football owners. It is time to discuss the matchup of Seattle and Indianapolis. This will be done for fantasy football purposes. This is a one o’clock game in Indianapolis which is in the dome so does that have a factor to the Seahawks? I will be telling you who to play, who to keep an eye on this week and who to avoid at all costs. With that being said here is my preview for the Seattle Seahawks vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

MUST PLAY:

Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett is a bad man in week one matchups. Last season Lockett and the Seahawks played in a dome in Atlanta and had 8 receptions, 92 receiving yards as well. In a PPR league that is 17 points. I can see him doing more of the same in his week one matchup against the Colts. The Colts will be highly focused on Metcalf and I see Lockett getting ready to cook. Russell Wilson loves to throw Lockett the football and I expect him to get no less than twelve targets in week number one. I have Lockett as my WR15 this week, but he could easily finish in the top ten this week. Lockett is my must play in this matchup.

Prediction: 8 Receptions 99 Receiving Yards 1 Touchdown

Another Player To Play:

Jonathan Taylor:

Sophomore slump is something that Jonathan Taylor will have no part of this season. You need to play Taylor this week. You likely took him as a first to second round pick, so you have to play him. Taylor finishes as a top 10 fantasy running back this week. Expect Taylor to have no less than 15 points in week one.

Keep An Eye On:

Gerald Everett

Gerald Everett is the name to watch out for this week. His first game with Russell Wilson could be a sneaky good game fantasy wise. We know how much Wilson loves tight ends and Everett’s stock could increase if he plays well in week number one. If Everett gets the targets, I think he could be a solid addition via the waiver wire after this week. You need to keep an eye on Everett though because I expect a good amount of volume for him. If he gets the volume he might work his way up the tight end rankings for the rest of the season.

Avoid:

Chris Carson

Chris Carson struggled last season due to injuries, but he is my player to avoid in this matchup. Indy’s front seven is a solid group and I think they will create chaos for that Seattle offensive line. Carson in week one had 21 rushing yards last season, I think he doesn’t do much better in week one this year either. Russell Wilson will have to do a lot more because the running game won’t work. Carson is my player to avoid this week in this matchup.

Other Fantasy Football Predictions:

Russell Wilson: 298 Passing Yards 2 passing touchdowns. QB11 this week for me.

Michael Pittman Jr: 80 Receiving Yards. WR41 this week for me.

DK Metcalf: 110 Receiving Yards 1 Touchdown. WR7 this week for me.
