Fantasy Football Preview: Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers

It’s week three of the NFL season, yes, it’s going too fast. The Cincinnati Bengals are in Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in a clash of AFC North division rivals. Cincinnati is a young up and coming team with a lot of fantasy talent brewing. As for Pittsburgh, the Steelers have young talent that have proven to be a force on the offensive side of the ball. So, let’s get into the fantasy football preview: Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers.

Must play:

Najee Harris

Alabama in the NFL: Najee Harris hits defender with monster stiff arm

This will be the week Najee Harris has the explosion we’re all waiting for. Yes, Najee Harris owners will be rejoicing all day on Sunday while Harris runs wild on the Bengals. Harris last week had one touchdown, there’s a high chance he has multiple. Expect the Steelers offense to attack a not so great Cincinnati defense.

Prediction: 20 carries, 130 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns, 4 receptions, 30 yards, 1 touchdown

Ja’Marr Chase

Be bold this week and start Ja’Marr Chase. Tee Higgins is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury and has not practiced this week. With that being said, Ja’Marr Chase will need to step up big time against this Steelers defense. Chase so far has proven that he can be a weapon for Joe Burrow and has been a deep threat as well. After a preseason where he couldn’t catch anything, Chase has redeemed himself through the first two weeks.

Prediction: 6 catches, 100 yards, 1 touchdown

Also start:

Steelers defense/special teams

Joe Burrow is coming off one of his worst games as a quarterback where he threw three interceptions. The Steelers will eat that up if Burrow shows any similarities to last week, especially Minkah Fitzpatrick. Yes, TJ Watt is currently dealing with an injury, but Devin Bush returned to practice so that’s a good sign for Pittsburgh. The Steelers defense will most likely be setting up the offense to succeed in this game.

Joe Mixon

Joe Mixon is a solid RB1 or RB2 option. He will get screen passes, and he will have a few (not many) big runs in this game. If the passing attack ends up not being in Cincinnati’s favor, Joe Mixon will be heavily relied on.

Prediction: 21 carries, 110 yards, 4 receptions, 30 yards

Toss up:

Ben Roethlisberger

Let’s cut to the chase here. Ben Roethlisberger is not the same quarterback any more. Big Ben has been a big meh so far through two weeks. Right now, he’s on the injury report with a pectoral injury. At his age in the NFL, that could seriously affect how he plays. Plus, with a weak offensive line, Ben might not have time in the pocket to be throwing downfield to his receivers. So big Ben is a toss up if fantasy owners are in a quarterback dilemma.

Prediction: 21-35, 245 passing yards, 2 touchdowns

Avoid:

Joe Burrow

Stay away from Joe Burrow. In fact, stay far away. Burrow did not look great against the Chicago Bears last week and expect that trend against the Steelers. He’ll most likely be without Tee Higgins, and the Steelers defense will overall feast on this young Bengals offense. It’ll be a tough one for the Bengals in general this Sunday.

Prediction: 18-32, 220 passing yards, 1 touchdown
