Fall Movie Preview

With summer basically over, 2017 is on its way out. But even with just 4 months left in the year, there are still a good amount of movies left to come out. I’m to here to give you a brief summary of the biggest moves still coming in 2017.

It– September 8th: Coming out in 2 weeks, It is getting some serious hype. The movie is based off of the Stephen King novel and looks absolutely terrifying. Now I will tell you up front, I will not be seeing this movie. I’m sorry I just can’t do horror movies; but if they are your type of thing, it doesn’t get better than It.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle– September 22nd: The Golden Circle is the sequel to the much loved Kingsman: The Secret Service. It returns stars Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and adds Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges. The Golden Circle looks like it will have the same style and fun which made the first one so good as the Kingsman go to America.

Hulk
The Hulk will co-star in Thor: Ragnarok which opens on November 3rd.

Stronger– September 22nd: Stronger will be the 2nd movie of 2017 to involve the Boston Marathon Bombings; but should be drastically different than Patriots Day. Stronger focuses on marathon survivor Jeff Bauman and how he adjusts to his new life following the bombings.

Blade Runner: 2049– October 6th: After 35 years, the long awaited sequel to the sy-fi classic finally arrives. Harrison Ford returns to his role and Ryan Gosling takes the lead this time around. With Oscar nominated director Denis Villeneuve taking the helm, 2049 looks to recapture the same magic as the first one did.

Thor: Ragnarok– November 3rd: Thor: Ragnarok is the 3rd Thor movie and the 3rd and final MCU movie of 2017. Chris Hemsworth returns as the god of thunder and Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as the Hulk. This movie looks like an absolute blast as it reminds a lot of people of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Star-Wars-Last-Jedi-with-Daisy-Ridley-and-Mark-Hamill
Rey and Luke are the leads in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which opens December 15th.

Justice League– November 17th: After all this time, we are finally going to have a Justice League movie. Justice League picks up after Batman vs. Superman where Batman and Wonder Woman are creating a team following the death of Superman. This movie has more pressure than anyone else to be good.

Coco– November 22nd: The only original movie listed here, Coco is the newest movie released by Pixar. It’s about a 12 year old Mexican boy named Miguel and his journey through The Day of the Dead. If Coco can live up to the Pixar name, then we are in for something special.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi– December 15th: Yep, here’s a shocker. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the sequel to The Force Awakens and takes place right after. Not only will it feature the return of Luke Skywalker, but it will be the final performance from the late Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa. It will be bitter sweet to see her one more time.
