Exciting news: Super Mario movie cast is here!

From classic video games to funny animations, Nintendo has provided us with what I believe is top-tier entertainment. Back in 1985, before my existence, our mustachioed friend Mario got his own game Super Mario Bros. Of course, I got to play the third game much later on a Gameboy Advance SP. In this game, Mario faced many tribulations with his brother Luigi to rescue Princess Peach from the anthropomorphic, and evil, turtle Bowser. Back in 1993, an attempt at a live-action Super Mario Bros was made, but seemingly failed with a personal rating of 6/10 on IGN. Respectfully, I don’t think anyone would have guessed that Chris Pratt would someday be Mario though. As we know, the Super Mario Bros movie was previously set to hit theaters in December 2022.
Today, during Nintendo Direct, Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo’s game director) made a thrilling announcement! We now know the epic cast for the Super Mario Bros movie! Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will be directing the animated film. They are also responsible for creating/directing Teen Titans Go! Additionally, the screenplay writer is Matthew Fogel. To everyone’s surprise, Chris Pratt is voice-acting Mario; I would have never guessed! Some other comedic actors include: Jack Black, Seth Rogan, and even Keegan-Michael Key! What an awesome selection! Brought by Illumination Entertainment, it was also announced (again) that the release date is December 21, 2022.

In conclusion:
To wrap all of this up, I think it is safe to say that I am excited to watch this animated film next year. I predict that it will be a hit in the box office, to older and younger audiences, given the humorous cast. Hopefully I am not wrong.
