Don’t Sleep on Jarrett Stidham Potentially being the Starter Week 1 for the Patriots
As we get closer to the NFL Season, workouts between players have begun. Most notably, Quarterback Jarrett Stidham working out with the new receivers the New England Patriots just signed this off-season. Stidham has been working on his game a lot this off-season. Most likely, this is it for Stidham.
Pats west
The west coast workouts were put together by Stidham. Quarterback Cam Newton, who resigned a one-year deal with the Patriots, has also joined these off-season workouts. The two Quarterbacks are showing us that the starting job is still up for grabs.
Some more content from Pats West today as Cam Newton and Jarrett Stidham letting it rip to #Patriots wide receivers and tight ends. N’Keal Harry and Nelson Agholor were the newest to join the crew today.

When I see these workouts, I cannot help but think that maybe Stidham could be the starter. He seems motivated to beat out Newton for the starting job and show Patriot fans that he was indeed the “next guy.” Patriot fans are not confident in either choice at the starting job but the buzz around the Patriots is that they don’t believe in Stidham.
What does this mean now? Newton is clearly the favorite to start week one for the New England, unless the team makes a move at the draft or via trade. Stidham clearly has heard the noise around the media and most likely, at the Patriots facility. He knows it is time to put up or shut up.
Final Thoughts
Both Quarterbacks are eager to get to training camp. Both are very vocal on their social medias, especially Newton. No one can predict what is going to happen when training camp rolls around but what I do know, it is going to a story to follow. Coach Bill Belichick is full of surprises and he will not just give Newton the starting job just because of his resume. He is going to give it to the guy who is dedicated and gives the team the best opportunity to win.
