Does Dan Gilbert Want LeBron to Leave Again?

LeBron was already on his way out, but this might be the last comment you want going public if you’re Dan Gilbert.

Look, I get where Gilbert is coming from. You want to be confident in the success of your team each and every year. But this isn’t something you say before free agency starts. If there was even a slight chance that LBJ came back to Cleveland, I think he pretty much squashed it with this.

I would be so offended if I were LeBron. And what would I do for revenge? Shove it in his face by signing with another team in the East this off-season. Maybe the Celtics? 76ers? Who knows at this point, but one thing we do know for sure is that there’s no way in hell he returns to The Land.

I hope you enjoyed your run while it lasted, Cavs fans. Because this might have been your last relevant season for a very, very long time. Transcendent players like LeBron don’t just fall off trees. That’s something I don’t think your owner has figured out yet, because this is now two times he’s let the best player in Cavs franchise history just walk out the door without seeming to give a shit.
