Did TOM BRADY Just Confirm That He’s Not Retiring Until He’s 45 On Instagram?
First of all. I want to give a shoutout to social media for making news so wildly accessible. Like, this shouldn’t be a thing. I shouldn’t be getting my news and rumors from online platforms but here we are.
So ESPN posted a picture of Tom Brady with a quote from his interview with Oprah about his retirement.
Yeah. fine. We’ve seen the news swirling and the internet, at least in New England, going bananas over this quote. Want my take really quick? OF COURSE, HE’S RETIRING SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. My God. The guy is 40 years old. Out of anything that could point me in the direction of believing that Brady will retire possibly after this season, it could be the clearly toxic relationship that he seems to have developed with Bill Belichick. And who even knows if that’s real?
But Brady chimed in and commented on this post in the comment section.
For all of you non-bilingual folk out there in the streets, that right there is how you say 45 in Spanish. Now I don’t think there’s really any reason to speculate here, is there? Shouldn’t that sum it up for all of us? Tom Brady STILL plans on retiring at 45. Not 42. Not 43. 45. And who knows if he’ll even make it there. He has said in the past on WEEI’s Kirk & Callahan that his game plan is to play until he sucks. And at the moment, the guy is still ROLLING, bringing in MVPs.
Just a little NFL drama to keep your Tuesday alive and well. If anything, this post reassures me that we have Brady for at least another 3-4 years.
