David Andrews CLEARED to Resume Football in 2020!

The Patriots made ZERO first round picks last night. The NFL draft kicked off last night and the Patriots ended up trading back to the second and third round. With the draft going on, one bit of important information sort of hung out in the weeds. Patriots center David Andrews announced last night he will return to football in 2020.

The actual announcement from Andrews himself was made on his instagram.

This is great for a few reasons.

His Leadership and Respect Earned Throughout the Organization

Some strong words here from Nick Caserio. It’s very clear the Patriots think the world of this guy. He works his butt off and has worked even harder to get back on the field. His efforts paid off as he now will be under center for the Patriots in 2020. This is quite the testament for any player.

(Hopefully) No More Marshall Newhouse!

This is only one instance. But, it was a sign of things to come. Marshall Newhouse was signed in September of 2019 and he was just abysmal. With Andrews back in the lineup, your line gets a lot better. Give me an O-line of Isaiah Wynn, Joe Thuney, Andrews, Shaq Mason, and Marcus Cannon. Fire Newhouse into the sun for all I care. The line I just mentioned protects your quarterback very well. Getting rid of Newhouse is good talent wise and financially speaking as well.

In Conclusion

I’m happy for David Andrews. He had blood clots which kept him out of 2019, so that was a blow to his career. But now, he’s back and I think Patriots fans are happy about that. Give me the line that I mentioned a few times and whoever your 2020 QB is will be just fine. Now, let’s see some picks in the draft to help get this team back to the playoffs!
