Cristiano Ronaldo Set to Leave Real Madrid for Juventus
Reports say that Cristiano Ronaldo will be changing kits this coming season. Real Madrid will accept the €100 million transfer fee (roughly $116,523,000.00 USD) from the Italian club Juventus. And Ronaldo is set to make €30 million a year (roughly $34,966,053.79 USD). Contract talks between Madrid and Ronaldo stalled late in the season because of his poor relationship with club management. And Ronaldo did hint that he wanted to leave Madrid after the season.
Interestingly enough, Real Madrid’s final offer to Ronaldo is the same offer Juventus has however; Ronaldo declined Real Madrid’s offer. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez isn’t exactly on Ronaldo’s side which is most likely why he didn’t accept the final offer.
Ronaldo Heading Back to the Premier League?
When it was rumored that Ronaldo didn’t want to return to Real Madrid after this season some thought he might return to Manchester United. But that was quickly squashed. It would’ve been nice to see him return to the Premier League but he decided to go to Italy. Juventus won Serie A last year while Manchester United finished second to Manchester City last season in the Premier League by 19 points.
Neither team has confirmed the deal but it appears to be pretty close to being set in stone. Most likely just working on final details. Ronaldo and Portugal were eliminated in the round of 16 in this year’s World Cup by Uruguay 2-1. With Ronaldo leaving Madrid, the biggest soccer football match in the world (El Classico) will take a hit.
