Could Travis Etienne Become a Buffalo Bill?

With the NFL Draft just a couple of days away, the speculation is heating up. Yesterday, Todd McShay of ESPN dropped some news that the Buffalo Bills could possibly trade up in the draft to select Clemson running back Travis Etienne. If you think about it, it makes sense for the Bills. According to ESPN.com, Etienne’s stats are solid. He had 168 carries for 914 yards and 14 touchdowns. He can also be a threat in the passing game as he had 48 receptions for 588 yards and two touchdowns in 2020.

2021 NFL Draft: Bills interested in trading up for Travis Etienne

Looking at the Bills viewpoint, their running game struggled last year. While rookie running back Zack Moss had a pretty good season, Devin Singletary wasn’t really a factor. We all know Buffalo’s passing offense was one of the best in the NFL last season and if they can improve their running game, then it’s possible they could be the best offense in the league. Buffalo did sign Matt Breida in the offseason but it’s definitely possible they’ll draft a running back.

Final Thoughts

To wrap this up, it makes sense if the Bills draft Etienne. They do need to improve their running game and even though I personally want them to draft someone on the defensive side of the ball, I wouldn’t be mad if they selected the Clemson running back. He’s arguably the best running back in the draft and he would improve the offense. We’ll see what happens on draft night.
