It’s Nick Quaglia and guest host Al Nahigian on this week’s episode of the Couch Guy Sports Podcast while Jared takes the week off since he added a little member to his family.

Al and Nick. Two big baseball guys. So they NEED to lead things off with the putrid Red Sox. They opened up the season with a HUGE win over the Orioles. Honestly, the O’s suck so it was expected… But then they lost the next two and the opener against the Mets. We knew the pitching staff would be bad but, did we really think they would be this bad?

We might not have to watch the entire season anyway because, within DAYS of baseball’s opener, we already have a team shut down for a little bit due to COVID. Is this going to completely derail the entire season?

Regardless of if this season happens. Mookie Betts. Ever heard of him? The Red Sox won’t get their shot at re-signing him since he inked a new deal ALREADY with the Dodgers. We give our reaction and thoughts on the asinine deal even though one of us doesn’t completely agree with the masses.

And then there was football. On Tuesday, we had an avalanche of players on the Patriots who have chosen to opt-out on the season. We’ve got no problem with their decisions, but what’s this mean for New England? Do they go after a free agent or two now?
