College Football Week 7 Safe Bets
Alright folks, I, er, WE need a bounce-back week after last Saturday. This week is the best week so far in the season in terms of matchups, so it’ll be a good weekend to post up on the couch with some adult sodas and make some money.
Alabama(-17) At Texas A&M
Did you know Saban has never lost to one of his former assistants? I’m sure it’ll be mentioned once or twice on Saturday as the Tide roll into Kyle Field. Despite being a great home environment, A&M struggles in big games at home. Just ask Kirk.

Bama’s biggest weakness this year has been its defense, which is extremely weird. Luckily for them, Mond hasn’t been able to get the Aggies offense rolling the way people thought he would. Meanwhile, Tua is still Tua. Oh ya, and he still has all those receivers. The Tide roll in this one
The Pick: Bama Covers
Florida At LSU(-13.5)
This is a great matchup of an elite offense vs an elite defense. When those two types of juggernauts face-off, you have to look at the other side for each team. Florida’s offense has been improved with the play of Kyle Trask. The Tigers defense hasn’t been up too par to what they’re accustomed to. While I think LSU gets the win (because they’re at Death Valley) I believe that Florida will beat the spread.
The Pick: Florida beats the spread
Maryland(-3.5) At Purdue
Purdue will be without Rondale Moore and quarterback Elijah Sindelar. That’s huge. Wile Maryland got out of the gates hot this year, they’ve come back down to Earth lately. I’m expecting the Terps to explode again because Perdue won’t be able to stay on the field on offense. Maryland covers, easily.
