CBB Daily Report (1/20/22)
Much better showing yesterday from the college basketball daily gambling report. Both home dogs covered last night. The Alabama failure of a cover hurts my heart today. We should have covered with both of the favorites from last night. The over/under train went double under last night for us. Oklahoma State and TCU struggling to score we should have saw coming, but we liked the over. Parlay Of The Day was absolutely brutal yesterday. Overall we went 4-3 (+0.8 units) yesterday, if you rode with the CBB report that was a positive day. I will be better today as I really love the board for this Thursday slate of games. With that being said here is the CBB Daily gambling report for Thursday January 20th.
Home Dogs: 2-3 (-1.3u) ML (0-5) (-5u)
#1: Indiana +3.5 -110 ML (+140)
The Indiana Hoosiers have been stellar so far this season in my opinion. Tonight they are home dogs against a good Purdue team. Indiana is 11-0 at home this season and will look to carry on with their momentum. Purdue is also coming off of a double overtime victory over Illinois, so I see this game as a letdown spot for the Boilermakers. The Boilermakers are also 3-7 against the spread in their last ten games. While Indiana is 6-4 against the spread in their last ten games. The Hoosiers are also 8-0 against the spread in their last eight home games. This team is a fantastic home team and should be covering the spread tonight. In the last eight meetings between these two schools, the home team is 5-2-1 against the spread. Look for Indiana to easily cover tonight and have a real chance at winning this game outright.
#2: FIU +2.5 -110 ML (+110)
Florida International is a home underdog tonight against Marshall. Both sides have struggled covering the spread in their last ten games. Marshall is 1-7-1 and FIU is 1-9 against the spread. However, FIU has the advantage tonight being at home. They are 7-1 at home this season, while Marshall is 1-5 on the road this season. Yet Marshall is a 2.5 point favorite, something isn’t right here. Marshall is 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games. FIU will capitalize on Marshall’s road struggles in order not only to cover, but to win this game outright.
Lovin The Favorites: 2-3 (-1.3u)
#1: Monmouth -2.5 -110
Monmouth played Iona very tough on Tuesday night and now tonight they are road favorites against Fairfield. Although Monmouth has lost their last four games, they have been great against the spread in their last ten games overall. Monmouth is 7-3 against the spread in that stretch. They take on a Fairfield team that has struggled at home this season (3-4). Monmouth has been good on the road this season and I believe we will see more of the same here. The Hawks are 9-2 against the spread in their last eleven road games. Also they are 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games as a favorite. Lovin the Monmouth Hawks tonight in this matchup.
#2: USC -2 -110
The USC Trojans are poised for a big bounce back spot here. They are road favorites tonight against Colorado who has a good record this season. The Buffaloes are 12-4 on the season and 9-1 at home. Colorado has beaten up on bad teams, but have losses against teams like UCLA, Arizona and Tennessee. That doesn’t bode well for them in this matchup in my opinion. USC is coming off a ten point loss to Oregon. The Trojans are going to come out firing in this one. I love the Trojans in this spot tonight. Isaiah Mobley and company will be looking to take full advantage against this Colorado team tonight. In the last five meetings between these two teams, the road team is 4-1 against the spread. Lovin the USC Trojans in this Pac-12 showdown tonight.
Feeling The Over/Riding The Under: 2-3 (-1.3u)
Tulsa vs Cincinnati (133.5)
This AAC matchup got me really thinking about what to do in this situation. I think that I am riding the under 133.5 in this one. In the last six games following a loss, Tulsa have hit the under five out of six times. In the Bearcats last six games against a team with a losing road record, the under has hit five out of six times. This game comfortably goes under in this AAC showdown.
UCONN vs Butler (128)
These two teams just played the other night and the total ended up being 135. Do we see more of the same happening in this matchup tonight at Butler? I am feeling the over 128 in this one. In UCONN’s last eight games as a favorite, the over is 7-1 and the overs have hit in each of their last four games as well. I think the over hits in this one, but it is going to come in the last four minutes of the second half.
