CBB Daily Report (1/19/22)
Yesterday was a rough start for my daily gambling report for College Basketball. We had two home dogs that looked like an easy cover and blew it down the stretch. The favorites should have cashed and they didn’t. Surprised that all three games went over in the feeling the over/riding the under hit. Finally, our parlay was one leg off from cashing. However, I have regrouped and will get back on track. With that being said here is my College Basketball daily gambling report for Wednesday January 19th, 2022.
Home Dogs: 0-3 (-3.3u) ML (0-3) (-3u)
#1: Texas A&M +7 -110 (ML +250)
This first one we have an SEC showdown with Kentucky on the road at Texas A&M. A&M is 15-2 on the season and is 10-0 at home this season. This SEC team has already beaten a good Arkansas team and this team is legit. The Aggies are on an eight game winning streak and have won nine out of their last ten. Kentucky is 8-2 in their last ten games as well. The Aggies are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against a team with a winning record. I think personally the number is too high, I think if Kentucky wins it is by the 3-6 range. Kentucky has a big matchup with Auburn on Saturday so this is the classic look ahead spot. With that being said I love A&M with the points in this one and would potentially sprinkle money line tonight.
#2: DePaul +7.5 -110 (ML +260)
DePaul is a home dog tonight against Xavier. Xavier hasn’t lost to a team not named Villanova since November. However, DePaul just beat Seton Hall on last Thursday so they are looking to carry that momentum in this one. DePaul has a highly talented guard in Javon Freeman-Liberty that will create problems for Xavier’s defense. Xavier’s defensive rating is tied for 35th in the nation. This DePaul team will need Javon Freeman-Liberty to be a big time factor in this one tonight. Xavier more than likely wins tonight, but DePaul keeps this within the number. DePaul is 7-3-1 against the spread in their last 11 home games. Also in the last seven meetings between these two schools, the underdog is 6-1 against the spread. Ride the Blue Demons tonight with the +7.5.
Lovin The Favorites: 1-2 (-1.2u)
#1: East Tennessee State -4.5 -110
This East Tennessee State team is a favorite tonight at home against Mercer. The Buccaneers have struggled covering against the spread this season, but this is a good get right spot for them. East Tennessee State is 7-3 against the spread in their last ten home games against a team with a losing record. Mercer is riding a three game winning streak and has won seven out of their last ten. While East Tennessee State is 5-5 in their last ten. I think this game tonight is a big let down for Mercer and a great get right spot for East Tennessee State. Ride the favorite in this one.
#2: Alabama -3.5 -110
Alabama has been on a roller coaster all season long. This is the same team that beat Gonzaga and Houston in back-to-back games earlier this season. Since then they have lost to teams like Davidson and Missouri. This Crimson Tide basketball team is so inconsistent and we need them to be a lot better here tonight. Tonight they are home favorites against an LSU team that nobody had high hopes for this season. LSU is due for a little regression and tonight is a good spot for that. Alabama is ranked 34th in offensive rating. While LSU is the number one team in the country when it comes to defensive rating. The Crimson Tide are due for a big bounce back tonight and they easily roll over LSU in tonight’s SEC Showdown.
Feeling The Over/Riding The Under: 1-2 (-1.2u)
Boston College vs Louisville (138.5)
This ACC showdown is going to be a curious one. As we have Boston College taking on Louisville. Both teams are in the bottom half of the ACC this season. I don’t like either of these offenses so I am going to be riding the under 138.5 in this one. In Louisville’s last five as a favorite, the under is 4-1. This total number is too high as I don’t see this going above 130.
TCU vs Oklahoma State (132.5)
We have a good Big 12 matchup here. TCU Horned Frogs go on the road to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Both of these defenses are ranked in the top forty in the country in defensive rating. So you would be expecting a very defensive heavy game right? Well, I am feeling the over 132.5 in this one. I think both offenses are going to produce in this Big 12 showdown. In TCU’s last five road games, the over is 4-1. Oklahoma State has a home favorite tends to go over. The Cowboys have had the over hit in five out of their last six as a home favorite. Take the over in this Big 12 clash.
