It’s Burnie and Chris episode 50! Yes how fitting we’re late we know but sometimes life gets in the way. We kick things off in the MLB where David Ortiz is officially a Hall of Famer! Well earned Papi! In the NHL, the Sharks are wrapping up their east coast trip! Believe it or not, the Sharks are expected to be in the thick of things for the playoffs once the second half of the season begins. The Rangers make Chris made as they dropped a few games! The Bruins are continuing to hang around in the Eastern conference as the all star break approaches.
In college basketball Villanova is rolling as we enter February. This is the last full month before the big dance so every game counts. Duke is also dominating as usual. In the NBA the Celtics continue to give us false hope. One minute they look good, the next they lose a game they should have won. Maybe in February they’ll figure it out. The NBA all-star starters are announced and we discuss the surprise of the group, Golden State’s Andrew Wiggins. We also make fun of Ben Simmons and talk about his potential trade options.
In the NFL the conference championships did not disappoint. GOODBYE KANSAS CITY, PATRICK AND JACKSON MAHOMES AND THAT ENTIRE FANBASE! Joe Burrow did it and we are ecstatic! Matt Stafford and Odell Beckham Jr. are off to their first Super Bowl as the Rams defeat the 49ers in thrilling fashion! Also, we recorded this before the Tom Brady announcement so we hold off our thoughts on Brady until next week! Chris is also very happy with the recent moves the Giants have made! Lastly, goodbye Josh McDaniels! Please don’t come back.
