Buffalo Bills First Round Pick Prediction

We are less than a month away from the NFL Draft and the Buffalo Bills hold the 30th pick. The question is what position should they draft? In this article, I’m going to predict what position Buffalo should draft with their first round pick.

If I was general manager Brandon Beane, I think they should go with a defensive end. It was very clear to me while watching the playoffs that the pass rush wasn’t a factor, specifically in the wild card game against Indianapolis and in the AFC championship game against Kansas City. They need someone who’s going to wreak havoc on the opposing offensive line and apply pressure to the opposing quarterback. No disrespect to anyone on the defensive line, but your edge rushers aren’t getting any younger. Jerry Hughes is 32 and Mario Addison is 33, so getting a younger player on the edge would help out. Hughes and Addison are still reliable, but hopefully they’ll go defensive end and whoever they draft will hopefully be a dangerous player for the Bills in the future.

I’ve seen a couple of mock drafts that have the Bills going cornerback, tight end and running back with their first round pick. In my opinion, I don’t think Buffalo should go with any of those positions. I think Taron Johnson will be the second cornerback behind Tre’Davious White, the Bills just signed tight end Jacob Hollister along with Dawson Knox, and have a full running back room with Devin Singletary, Zack Moss and Matt Breida.

We’ll see what Beane does but I think the Bills should draft an edge rusher with the 30th pick.
