Bruins Attend the Prospects Challenge Tournament this Weekend
The Bruins have assembled their roster filled with both prospects and invitees for the upcoming 2021 Prospects Challenge tournament. The tournament will be held in Buffalo this year. Once again it will be the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils who will be represented.
Bruins Prospects Roster
Per nhl.com, the following players will be representing Boston in the weekend long tournament:
Forwards: Samuel Asselin, Marc Boudreau*, Matt Filipe, Jesper Froden, Curtis Hall, Brett Harrison, Jacob Hudson*, Jakub Lauko, Fabian Lysell, Ian McKinnon, Oskar Steen, Eduards Tralmaks, Alex-Olivier Voyer
Defensemen: Jack Ahcan, Noah Dorey*, J.D. Greenway, Brady Lyle, Ryan Mast, Andrew Peski, Nick Wolff
Goaltenders: Kyle Keyser, Jeremy Brodeur
*Player attending on an invite basis
Of those participating, seven are former Bruin’s draft picks and 13 have played at least one season with the Providence Bruins. Notable prospects that won’t be attending the Prospect Challenge are Jack Studnicka, Jeremy Swayman, John Beecher and Mason Lohrei.
Bruins Prospect Challenge Schedule
The Bruins held two days of practice at Warrior Ice Arena Wednesday and Thursday this week prior to leaving for Buffalo. They will hold one practice on Friday at HarborCenter in Buffalo. Then play two games over the course of the weekend. Starting with a 3pm game against the Sabres prospects on Saturday. Then finishing the tournament with the Devils prospects at 1pm on Sunday.
For those looking to watch the games, the Bruins don’t usually stream these tournaments. However, the hosting team usually does. Be on the lookout for a live stream via the Buffalo Sabres Twitter or their website. Some Bruins reporters may also tweet out information regarding streaming the games.
