The start to the European Football season is just around the corner and major breaking news happening this morning as Lionel Messi officially joins PSG.
Yes, you read that correctly. Messi is officially a PSG Player. Here’s the latest on the news.

The Argentine mega talent joins PSG after negotiations for a contract extension at Barcelona failed to be completed. Last week, the announcement of Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona took the world by surprise and today, the chapter closes as he reaches an agreement with PSG.
During the offseason, the Parisian club has been busy making moves. Their first move, was ensuring the addition to the team of Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan with a 5-year deal. Additionally, in the transfer window, PSG has brought on Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Dutch talent, Georgino Wijnaldum.
The interesting part is, this is the second player Barcelona loses especially as they were moments away from getting Wijnaldum and now, PSG also gets Messi from them.

While Messi has been by far one of the most prolific players in recent history and some may argue of all time, the history he is writing is not even over yet.
Messi in his career with Barcelona got the opportunity to develop to the player he is today when he first arrived to Barcelona at 13 years old. Now, 21 years later the man has a story line no other one out there in sports. When you look at Messi’s trajectory in Barcelona, it is simply indescribable. Here are some of those stats:

These are just some of the accomplishments Messi got in his time with Barcelona. Now that Lionel Messi joins PSG, the team could easily have the greatest front 3 threat there’s been in football in quite some time. Mauricio Pochettino, PSG coach, will get to work upfront with the likes of Mbappe, Neymar and Messi making for what will be the scariest attacking front.
All I can say is, bring on the 21/22 Champions league as this will be the most contested it’s ever been!
