The past few weeks for Barcelona have been mind blowing, given the many fall outs the team has had internally and externally. For Barcelona, the breaking point came at the hands of UEFA Champions League Champs, Bayern Munich. After a devastating 8-2 victory over the Catalan side, Barca knew it had hit rock bottom and embrace certain changes.
However, it was certainly not expecting that Lionel Messi would decide to leave. Even worse, the team was going to do whatever it took to ensure Lionel would stay, but it is clear that Messi is to leave Barca, especially after the horror experienced this year by the Argentine superstar.
What is Next for Messi?
While the news of Messi leaving Barcelona continue to spread throughout the internet and the world, many are wondering, what is next for Messi? Where could he go?

Personally, I believe there is a reunion brewing between Pep Guardiola and Lionel Messi. However, soccer pundits around the world are drawing some speculations that are as wild as the ride that 2020 has brought us along on. The most common targets for Lionel Messi to land though are the following:
PSG- France: There are heavy rumors linking a reunion between Neymar and Lionel to bring the Parisian side their first ever Champions League cup after 2020’s attempt failed.
Premier League: The English Premier League seems to be the most likely target for Messi. Leo is heavily linked with Manchester City but also with Manchester United.
Imagine a possible connection for Manchester United featuring Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Lionel Messi! The strongest link though belongs to Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s previous relationship with Lionel Messi is one of the world’s most dangerous threats to any other team out there and should Messi go there, the world will go crazy over the signing.
Juventus- Italy: Juventus is on a revenge tour people! After sacking Sarri and bringing in Andrea Pirlo, the Italian side is doing whatever it takes, literally!

With Andrea Pirlo already making changes, and with his brilliant mastermind. Do not fall asleep and feel left behind should Pirlo decide to pair Messi and Ronaldo.
In Conclusion…
There is so much uncertainty for the future of the Argentine superstar, however as he is not getting any younger, do not be surprised if a decision is made within the next 24-48 hours. My gut tells me Manchester United will be ready to splash some money out for him as they are desperate for silverware, but it is 2020 and anything can happen!
