Breaking Down The New Avengers: Infinity War Trailer

I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but damn I am having a good week. Yesterday was the start of March Madness and it was also my 25th birthday. Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day on a Saturday so that speaks for itself. And well today, holy shit, today the new Avengers trailer dropped today! I have been waiting for this trailer to drop for weeks it finally came out today! Here it is below in all of its glory!

So I’ll say this up front, this isn’t as good as the first trailer. But I never expected that with this one. That first trailer we got back in November in my opinion was the best movie trailer I have ever seen. This one talks much more about the story. Thanos is on a manhunt for the Infinity Stones and he is on his my to Earth. Specifically, this trailer focuses on Thanos’ relationship with his daughter and Guardian of the Galaxy Gamora. We see her telling the Avengers about him and we get a brief flashback of Thanos and Gamora as a child on his home world of Titan. I am fascinated to see how that relationship unfolds in the movie.

The trailer is a lot funnier than the first as well. We see Iron Man and Star Lord go back and forth as well as Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. What made the original Avengers so great was seeing these larger than life characters interact for the first time and we’re gonna have that same feeling again here. The two relationships I am looking forward to the most is Tony Stark/Stephen Strange and Steve Rogers/T’Challa. Stark and Strange probably have the biggest ego’s in the MCU so they’re going to have some incredible banter. Rogers and T’Challa are the leaders of the MCU. With T’Challa being the king of the most powerful country on Earth and Rogers the leaders of the Avengers, I can’t wait to see how their dynamic plays out.

Other highlights of the trailer include out first shot of the Black Order (1:25), Thor with Rocket and teenage Groot, and Captain America going one on one with the Mad Titan himself. I have said this before and I will say it again; Avengers: Infinity War is the most anticipated movie in the history of cinema. We will never see anything like this again. So get off this website and get your damn tickets now. Just 42 days left!
