Boston Bruins Trade Outlook: 3 Players that the B’s Should Pursue

We are just about a month away from the official NHL Trade deadline (March 21st). That means it is about time for the rumor mill to begin swirling on potential trade candidates for the Boston Bruins.

The Boston Bruins have been red hot to kick off the new year, with the changing of the 1st and 2nd lines and some other minor adjustments, the Bruins look rejuvenated. As nice as it may seem though, that does not mean they should stand pat at the deadline, there are plenty of players out there if they choose to pull the trigger.

So, let us dive into a couple of those names.

 John Klingberg – Dallas Stars

One of my personal favorites, John Klingberg is a defenseman who plays on with the second pairing of the Stars, along with the 1st Power Play Unit.

With the window for a championship closing by the year for this core, the team needs to make a move, and nothing would be more fitting than for a guy. Even though you wouldn’t need him for PP1, he would fit perfectly into the second group, let alone, pairing him and Mike Reilly together on the second defense pairing would really boost your defense.

This is by far my favorite trade candidate and could be a fantastic fit with this team.

If we are sticking with the theme of upgrading the defense, which is really the main thing to do here is, the Bruins could push all their chips onto the table and go after a stud in Jakob Chychrun.

Chychrun, is only 23 years old, and once again would fit perfectly on that second defensive pairing with Reilly. Chychrun has missed most of the season with a lower-body injury, so his numbers aren’t great right now, but for good reason. Although, when the blueliner gets hot, he is far and away one of the best in the NHL.

As I said, this one is a bit more complicated, due to his young age, and the asking price of the Coyotes, but, if the Bruins wanted to go all in, this would be a good piece to snag.

Lawson Crouse- Arizona Coyotes

We will end the article with Lawson Crouse, another Arizona Coyote, and why not, they aren’t going anywhere this year so might well upend the franchise.

So why not start with the two youngest players. The 24-year-old left-winger has really been the only bright spot on this year’s Coyotes team. He could slide into any line you wanted him to and he would make an immediate impact.

Crouse is the kind of boost the Bruins could use. He could really balance out the scoring for this team, even with their recent success. The only downside though, is his cost, due to his young age like Chychrun, Crouse could very well cost a pretty penny. If the Bruins could afford him though, he would be a perfect fit for this team.
