Yesterday, the Buffalo Bills released guard Quinton Spain. This transaction caught a lot of people off guard because Spain signed a 3-year, $15 million contract in the offseason. Spain played in all 16 games last year with Buffalo and did not allow a sack. He’s missed the last two games this season and that could be why the Bills released him. This is just speculation by me but I believe he was unhappy with not playing and he wanted to move on.
After releasing Spain, the team activated defensive tackle Justin Zimmer from the practice squad to the active roster.

According to Bills PR, Zimmer has played in two games this season and has ten tackles, including two tackles for loss. Buffalo will head to East Rutherford this weekend as they look to bounce back against the Jets after losing two straight games.
