AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR TRAILER AND POSTER DROPS!
HOLY SHIT!! I CAN’T BREATHE!! LET’S GO!! Words can not describe my anticipation level for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. When this come’s out, it will be the 19th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the beginning of the end culminating with Avengers 4 (which will be released in 2019). To me, the MCU is the single greatest movie franchise of all-time and Infinity War will be the end of a 10 year journey starting all the back in 2008 with the original Iron Man. After waiting month and months, Marvel has finally dropped the poster and the teaser for Holy Grail of superhero movies. Before we get to the trailer, here’s the poster Marvel released yesterday.
Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go and that is the case here. We get a look at the iconic Avenger “A” which is covered in purple. I love this because it keeps with the tradition that all of the Avenger movies have their first posters were also just the “A”. Here are the others down below.
The shade of purple also makes total sense as that represents the big bad of the movie, Thanos. He will be the villain of the next two Avenger movies and his presence will be felt by the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. I do wish the kept the “Assemble 2018” but hey, minor details. Now, let’s get into the good stuff!
That is the greatest thing I have ever seen. We’ve imagined in our minds what it would look like but now that we’ve actually seen it; it better than I thought. The beginning line is fantastic as the Avengers say Nick Fury’s famous line from the original movie as we see our heroes scattered. Then Thanos begins to monologue as he collects the Infinity Stones. In the trailer, we see that he has the Space Stone (blue) and the Power stone (purple) in the gauntlet already. We also see Vision on the ground getting the Mind Stone (yellow) pulled out of his head and we all thought that means he’s dead. But then we see Vision in human form next to Scarlet Witch which shocked the hell out of me. The other highlights include Spider-Man’s Iron Spider outfit, Bruce Banner and Black Widow reunited, and Thanos punching the hell out of Iron Man. Thanos looks like he’s the real deal and he better be because we’ve been building up to him for years. The last shot of the trailer is the perfect cherry on top as Thor meets the Guardians of the Galaxy. I could talk about this trailer all day but you guys would probably just stop reading. All I can tell you is that there may not be a movie in my life time that I will be more excited for than Avengers: Infinity War.
