Julian Edelman is questionable for Sunday’s match-up against the Washington Redskins with a chest injury. He is on the injury report for the second week in a row. Whenever Edelman is on the injury report, it raises some eyebrows around New England.
Edelman is currently the most crucial piece to the New England Patriots offense. As a team last week in Buffalo, the offense looked very poor. Edelman had four receptions for thirty yards.

A lot of Wide-Receivers look to be on the market by the time of the trade deadline on October 29throlls around. Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, and A.J Green are among receivers that could be on the move. If Julian Edelman goes down, those are possible targets the Patriots could trade for.
Edelman is what makes this offense click. Everyone knows that he is one of the toughest guys in the league to cover. While Edelman continues to battle this chest injury, the Patriot’s offense will struggle until he can get back to being one hundred percent. He is so clutch when it comes to third-down conversions. Just look at last year’s AFC title game. He was remarkable and helped this team eventually go on to win its franchise sixth Super Bowl title. Not to mention, he was the MVP of that game.
If I were the Patriots, I would sit him this Sunday against a team that is winless and is currently going through a lot of team turmoil. I know, you can never take a game lightly in the NFL. The Patriots have a real good defense, and I believe they can beat this team with the weapons they currently have on their roster.
This game could be an excellent opportunity for both Dorsett and Gordon to get back on track. They can get on the same page with Brady and look to get only better. Give Julian a rest and allow him to be one hundred percent for later in the season.
