Are the Cincinnati Bengals Finally Heading in the Right Direction?
Marvin Lewis has informed his #Bengals staff he's out as coach, source said. Owner Mike Brown made the decision.

After 16 years and zero post-season victories, the Cincinnati Bengals have fired Marvin Lewis.
About. Damn. Time. I’m sure most people would agree with me when I say that this move is very long overdue. The Bengals have been a mockery since Lewis took over as HC. No playoff wins in 16 seasons? Seriously? Some guys get fired after one season of missing the playoffs. Marvin Lewis has had some pretty talented teams over the years and couldn’t manage to win one playoff game. It’s pathetic.
Now I know what you all might be thinking. The Bengals finally are starting to get their shit together and they’ll hire a great replacement. Right? SIKE!
The #Bengals plan to conduct interviews soon with in-house head coach candidates — a list that's expected to include STC Darrin Simmons and OC Bill Lazor, sources say. Of course, Hue Jackson — long viewed as Marvin Lewis' successor — also finished the season on staff.

Marvin on Hue Jackson getting a chance to be the next #Bengals next head coach: “I think Hue should get an opportunity to speak with the team. He is more than qualified… I think he is an excellent coach and a great motivator. I think he deserves an opportunity.”

As it stands right now, the Bengals plan to interview Hue Jackson. Hue Jackson, in my opinion, is basically Marvin Lewis 2.0. There’s actually a decent chance that he’s worse than Lewis. He’s never led a team to the playoffs as a HC or had a winning season. Just look at these numbers:

This graphic is from last week, so you can add a loss to the Bengals record since bringing Hue on and the Browns record since he left Cleveland. But you get the idea. Wherever this guy goes, he creates a losing environment. I’m not really sure what it is, but he is just AWFUL. The Bengals did one thing right today by firing Lewis, but something tells me they’re going to wash that away by signing Hue Jackson to be their next head coach.
