Are Good Things in Store for the Celtics?
The Celtics are now 7-3 in their last 10 games, with two of those losses ending by buzzer beaters from the other team. It seems the team is starting to get it’s mojo back.
Jayson Tatum: "We're starting to play better. Getting it together. We have 37 games left. That's plenty of time to make up ground."

But is Jayson Tatum right? Can this Celtics team keep its play up?
Why They Can:
This team has two of the NBA’s young stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. With the Jays, this team should be competing for the playoffs regardless of who else fills out the roster. They can’t do all the work, but they can do a whole heck of a lot of it.
That said, the rest of this roster isn’t bad by any means. Robert Williams still has a lot of potential left he can reach. Grant Williams has emerged as a three point shooter, making him least one 3-and-D role player. Dennis Schröder, Marcus Smart, and Al Horford are all solid vets to round out a good core.
Why They Can’t:
As I said in my last article, this team needs three point scoring still, whether that comes from someone currently on the roster or not. Grant Williams has only become a major threat from three this year, and no one else is particularly dangerous from that range. It doesn’t matter to me who steps up, but a major factor holding this team back is that lack of a sniper. And that’s been the issue for a few years now. Get that, and Tatum and Brown will be able to get to the rim at will. I’d hate to play this team in that case.
Last Thoughts:
The Celtics are starting to look like they were expected to in these last few games. They are still some holes in this team, but its possible they can rise above these issues and at least make a decent playoff run. Even if they don’t this year, Tatum and Brown are still very young, and there’s plenty of time to build a championship roster around this core.
