Remember when the Red Sox won the 2018 World Series back in October? That was cool, right?! Let’s face it Red Sox fans, the Red Sox don’t won that World Series if Alex Cora is not their manager. He helped guide the Red Sox to the most wins in regular season history (108) while leading them to an 11-3 postseason record. But if you thought 2018 was special, Alex Cora has something that will make you spit out whatever you’re currently drinking.
The Actual Quote
How can this be possible?! The Red Sox already accomplished so much, that they can’t possibly do anything more, right?!
Well, that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Spring Training is right around the corner! Sure, the Patriots are playing for their third straight Super Bowl appearance on Sunday against the Chiefs. But, baseball fans can’t wait to see what the 2019 Red Sox are all about.
Back to back isn’t unreasonable by any means. In fact, some well-noted Red Sox fans think back-to-back could very well be happening.
Now sure, the 2019 already have a few questions to answer. What will their bullpen look like? Will Craig Kimbrel come back? Will they be able to get by the Yankees bullpen after some key additions? Only when the games start actually being played is when those questions can be answered.
But for now, let’s enjoy that our manager, Alex Cora, is just as excited about the 2019 Red Sox as he was about the 2018 Red Sox. If Cora is on to something, then this feeling might be sweeter for a second year in a row.
Wouldn’t mind seeing this again come October of 2019! We trust you, Alex Cora!
