Aaron Rodgers Urges Packers’ Fans to Lock Arms Before Tonight’s Game

As we should all know by now, the NFL responded to the president’s comments about its players last weekend in a big way. Each team participated in a protest to show that they are unified by either kneeling before/during the national anthem, or locking arms.

Now, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is urging Packer fans to get involved as well. He wants the fans at Lambeau field to lock arms during the national anthem before tonight’s game against the Bears. Here is what he had to say on what he hopes to see tonight and why:

Whether you agree with how the NFL is choosing to protest or not, everything they’re standing up for is 100% legitimate. Athletes have such a big spotlight on them at all times, it’s only right that they use it to promote positivity, unity, and togetherness, especially at a time when our country is falling apart from natural disaster. What Rodgers is asking for is unity not only amongst the NFL and its players but throughout the country as well. I couldn’t support this move more.
