Aaron Rodgers Is Probably Going To Practice Tomorrow
This is an insane thought to me. This guy just WEEKS ago, maybe a month and a half ago or whatever, broke his collarbone. I’ve never had it happen to me but people have told me that it’s one of the most painful breaks there is next to the femur. And yeah, you probably didn’t have to tell me that because I kind of expected that.
I’m not doctor, but I’m going to say Packers fans, don’t get your hopes up for a revival of a season. He’s practicing tomorrow and from what I’ve seen it’s being seen as a “trial” practice. So he could throw one ball, feel the slightest bit of pain, and Green Bay’s incredibly conservative medical staff could pull the plug and sit him for another few weeks.
We’re going into week 13 and the Packers are 5 and 6 under interim QB, Brett Hundley. The team has gone 1-4 in his absence and at this point, I’m not seeing much of a chance to rebound. It’s like the Gordon Hayward situation in Boston kind of, the guy is a catalyst to your team, why risk bringing him back to early this season? Just let him rest up and return for next year because even if he does come back, I’m having a tough time buying in to the Packers squeaking into the post season.
You have to many teams who are above you in the standings and that includes the wild card slot. The Vikings are rolling so consider the division out of the picture which means you’re now vying for a Wild Card spot. And with the Seahawks 7 and 4 and the Panthers and Saints both sitting at 8 and 3, I’m seeing two of those three teams bringing that home.
Dumb if you bring him back this season. But, I guess if anyone is capable of doing it and having a successful tail end of the season, it’s Rodgers. And remember people, this is a big hypothetical I’m spewing here.
