At @BelAirCantina on water street and just watched @Giannis_An34 wait for a table for 10 minutes and no one helped him so he left… Dude just won Milwaukee a playoff game! Get him some service pic.twitter.com/hcjsJfThiA

WOW. Whatever employee decided that this was the move needs to be sent back to the kitchen immediately. No more dealing with people after you make Giannis Antetokounmpo wait in line while he’s helping put Milwaukee on the NBA map.
The restaurant ended up saying this, apologizing on Facebook.
We need to be honest here though. The host/hostess just had no idea who this guy was because if they did, there’s not a shot that he’s waiting. You legit build a table out of all of the wood in the restaurant Fortnite style if he’s waiting. I don’t care if there’s a family of 4 sitting at a table. You move them and make them stand and eat like peasants while the king enjoys some tacos.
But the thing is, nobody working there had to have known who he was because if I’m an employee and I walk by and see Giannis Antetokounmpo standing there I either
A) Let my co-workers know what’s up so we don’t become viral on the internet for this
B) Get down on my hands and knees so he can use my back as a table. Or I’ll just stand there and hold his plate while he eats. Regardless of how I get it done, I’m getting it done.
Shoutout to the internet though for doing it’s thing and overreacting to this. This is why I love you.
