A Crucial Game 5 Will Determine the NBA Finals
The NBA Finals has been a great series between two franchises that are desperate for a championship. The Phoenix Suns took the first two game of the series, winning in comfortable fashion and put pressure on the Milwaukee Bucks to respond. However, the Bucks did respond, with a comfortable win in game 3 and with a crucial block by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks came up with a huge win in game 4. Now we have game 5 of the NBA Finals upon us.
Now, it is a crucial game 5 and this is the game that really determines every series in the NBA when series is tied at two games a piece. The Suns have looked great at home this playoffs and in this series. However, point guard, Chris Paul, has really disappeared these last two games, and has hurt his team with careless turnovers. Giannis Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, has been sensational this series, putting in all of his efforts to help his team win.
With the way I see it, the Suns are the better team. Devin Booker had a terrible game 3 but he responded in game 4 by dropping over 40 points. However, like mentioned, he did not receive any help from his supporting cast. Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn’t been really getting the help from players like Jrue Holiday but he did get a little help in games 3 and 4 from his sidekick, Kris Middleton.
The Bucks just played scrappy and more assertive in games 3 and 4. The Suns just looked comfortable with the fact that they won 2 games and forgot that they need to get to 4 to secure the championship.
Final Thoughts on Game 5 of the NBA Finals
My point from all of this is that, if the Suns show up, they win this series. Plain and simple. I love the Bucks and I’ve enjoyed following them throughout their NBA playoff journey. But the Suns are also another great story. They are the better team who should get their first NBA title. Tonight’s NBA Finals game 5 will determine, to me, who is going to be the 2021 NBA champions.
