2021 NFL’s Top 100: 90-81

Yesterday I released players ranked 91-100 on my NFL top 100 list. Now today I am ready to release my list of players that are ranked from 81-90 today. With that being said here are my list of players that are ranked from 90-81 in my NFL Top 100 list.

90.) Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas Raiders)

Josh Jacobs has been so effective in his two year career so far with the Raiders. He has rushed for over a thousand yards in each of those seasons as well. Last year Jacobs set a career high in rushing touchdowns with 12. With Jacobs on the field it helps the Raiders offense tremendously. He helps create play action plays and helps Derek Carr in the passing game. I think Jacobs goes over 1,200 rushing yards this season and will have a career high in rushing yards per carry this year as well. Watch out for Josh Jacobs as I do see him being a big time player in the AFC this season.

89.) Saquon Barkley (NY Giants)

Barkley played only two games last season before his season ended with an injury. If he is fully healthy he is going to have his best season ever. The Giants offense looks fully retooled with the addition of Golladay. That addition will help create a hole for Barkley to consistently run during the regular season. He does have two 1,000 yard rushing seasons under his belt so far, but I am worried about his health. If he is 100 percent and fully healthy the entire year, I see him shattering his own career highs this year. On the off chance that he has another season full of injuries is why I have him as 89th on my list.

88.) Joel Bitonio (Cleveland Browns)

Joe Bitonio is a three time pro bowler and has started in all of the Browns games the last four seasons. He is smart and athletic and is a big part of why Nick Chubb and the Browns running game is successful. If he continues to stay on the field he is a big time factor for the Cleveland Browns offense. Offensive lineman the majority of the time don’t get the credit they deserve. Bitonio deserves a lot of credit for how efficient that offense was last season. If he continues to improve his pass protection skills, he will shoot up this list by this time next year.

87.) Mekhi Becton (NY Jets)

Mekhi Becton showed some serious potential in his rookie season. He was taken 11th overall by the Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft and that was one of the better picks of the draft. Becton will give rookie Zach Wilson all the time in the pocket due to his great pass protection. There is a big chance that he breaks out this season and becomes a Pro Bowler. He has the skill set and if he can put it all together he could be considered one of the best offensive tackles in football next year.

86.) Derwin James (LA Chargers)

We saw how good Derwin James was when he was on the field for every game in his rookie year. He was not only a Pro Bowler, but an All-Pro as well. The only reason why James is so low is the fact that he hasn’t been able to stay on the field healthy the last two years. Playing a total of 5 games in 2019 and none in 2020 is why he is so low on this list. He can be one of the best safeties in the league with his skill set. If he stays on the field he is hands down a top forty player in this league. We need to see the consistency of him being on the field before I can put him higher on the list.

85.) DJ Moore (Carolina Panthers)

We saw a little dip in DJ Moore’s numbers last season when it came to targets and receptions. He did set a career high in receiving yards and yards per reception though. With Curtis Samuel on a different team, I could see a big uptick for the fourth year receiver. I also like Darnold a lot more than Bridgewater for DJ Moore. I think Moore will have a career high in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns this year. I expect a big year for Moore and the duo of him and Darnold might become one of the better young duos in the league for years to come.

84.) Frank Ragnow (Detroit Lions)

Ragnow was easily one of the best centers in the league last year. The way he controls the offensive line and helps his quarterback out doesn’t go without notice. Detroit has a pretty good offensive line this year and with this guy at the anchor of it we could see a solid year for Goff in year one with the Lions. The three year veteran has missed three games in his career and is easily going to be a Pro-Bowler yet again this season.

83.) Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons)

Mr. Consistency comes in at number 83 on my list. When I talk consistency I talk about the fact that he has only thrown less than 20 touchdowns in a season once in his career. That was his rookie season and he threw 16 passing touchdowns that year. Matty Ice has thrown for over 4,000 passing yards in ten straight seasons. He has been an electric passer for the majority of his career and has an MVP under his belt as well. He has been close to throwing for 5,000 passing yards in a single season on two separate occasions. Matt Ryan could eclipse that this year with the amount of talent he has at receiver and tight end (barring a Julio Jones trade). We could see Ryan have one of his better seasons ever this year with the amount of talent he has to throw the ball to.

82.) Aaron Jones (Green Bay Packers)

Jones was a Pro-Bowler last year and could have easily been a lot higher on this list. I do see him being a big time factor again this year, I just see other players that are better than him on this list. He is a defensive matchup nightmare, as he is a threat both as a running back and a receiver. Jones has rushed for over 1,000 yards the last two seasons and had 19 total touchdowns in the 2019 season. I do see Jones’ usage getting a big upgrade this season. Rodgers threw a ton last season and I think Jones will go for over 250 carries and 1200 rushing yards to go along with it. Look out for Aaron Jones as he is a name that you should be watching out for.

81.) Tristan Wirfs (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Tristan Wirfs started every single game last year for the Super Bowl Champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was dominant from the first snap that he took at right tackle. Wirfs in my opinion is a top five offensive tackle in the league already, and he could solidify himself as the best after another dominant campaign which I see him having in 2021.

Stay tuned as 80-71 will be out Friday 6/4/21.
