2021 NFL Top 100: 40-31
Welcome back to another part of my list of the Top 100 NFL players for the 2021 season. Today I will be talking about the players that I have listed from 31 to 40 on my list. With that being said here are the players listed from 31-40 on my top 100 NFL players for the 2021 season.
40.) DK Metcalf (Seattle Seahawks)
DK Metcalf has been an absolute beast for the Seahawks since he entered the league. Last year he racked up 83 receptions to go along with 1303 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Averaging 15.7 yards per reception last year is crazy to think about. Metcalf is a machine, and he is only just starting in this league. We could see over 100 receptions this year from him and in the range of 1500-1800 receiving yards as well. Watch out for DK Metcalf in 2021.
39.) Bobby Wagner (Seattle Seahawks)
Bobby Wagner is easily a first ballot hall of famer when his career is all said and done. He is a 7-time Pro Bowler and a 6-time All-Pro middle linebacker. He has never had under 100 tackles in a season in his career, Wagner has an illustrious resume in his career, that not a lot of player have at his position. Arguably the best run stopping linebacker that we have in the league today. Look for Wagner to continue to do more of the same in 2021.
38.) Chase Young (Washington Football Team)
Chase Young was a name that we were all watching out for after getting selected by Washington. Young won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors last season, and was a big factor on the field for the Football team. He forced four fumbles last season and recovered three of them. Young had 7.5 sacks in his rookie campaign, and he missed some time with an injury. If we see a full season of Chase Young this year, you better get ready for a big time player making a big time impact on the defensive end.
37.) Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers)
The reigning AP Offensive rookie of the year put his name on the map last season. Herbert threw for 31 touchdowns to go along with 10 interceptions last season in 15 starts. Last season was only a glimpse of how talented Justin Herbert is. I expect big time numbers this season including a run in the post season as well. Look for Herbert to be in MVP talks this season in my opinion, as that is how good I think he can be in year two.
36.) Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams)
This might be the surprise of my list to be honest. I love Matthew Stafford as a Los Angeles Ram, and he hasn’t even played a game with them yet. This is the spot where we will see not only Stafford’s first ever playoff win, but we might see him contend for a Super Bowl. Another guy that I like as a dark horse to be the MVP this year is Matthew Stafford. I am expecting huge things from Stafford with the talent that he has around him. The Rams are very good and will be a threat to not only the NFC, but to the entire NFL as well.
35.) Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders)
Darren Waller is a top three tight end in the league. He is basically a wide receiver playing the tight end position and boy is it working for him. The last two seasons he has had over 1,100 receiving yards and last year he set career highs in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns as well. Waller is becoming a big time target for the Raiders, and we will see more of the same in 2021 as defenses will still try to figure out how to slow him down.
34.) Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints)
We saw Alvin Kamara’s usage go way up as he was the all down back for the Saints in 2020. He set a career high in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns as well. The one thing that will stink for Kamara is that he doesn’t have Drew Brees throwing him the football this season. Kamara in his four year career has had at least 97 targets every season. Will that number take a hit this year? Do we see more rushing yards for Kamara in 2021? We will have to wait and see, but regardless he will get the job done this year from time to time for the Saints.
33.) Cameron Jordan (New Orleans Saints)
Cameron Jordan is one of the best defensive ends in the league. His sack total took a hit last season, but he was still creating a ton of pressure on the opposing quarterback. He has had a great career with the Saints, and I think we will see the Cameron Jordan from previous years in 2021.
32.) Tyrann Mathieu (Kansas City Chiefs)
Tyrann Mathieu is a three-time all pro safety and is a big time play maker on the field. He is such a great hybrid safety that can do it all. Blitz, stop the run, pass coverage, etc. Mathieu has been a key player on all three teams that he has played for. Now the honey badger moves into year nine of his NFL career, and we will see him continue to see him ball out for Kansas City this year.
31.) Devin White (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Devin White is a star in the making. He had 140 tackles last season and added 9 sacks to his resume as well. White was a former first round selection, and he has been a huge bright spot. He helps the Buccaneers front seven, and he will be their guy for years to come. We are looking at the future at the linebacker position here. Tampa Bay got a real good one on their hands.
Those are my NFL Top 100, 40-31. Stay Tuned as 30-21 will be out Thursday 6/24/2021.
