Wrestlemania 35 returns to New York/New Jersey in 2019
While the road to this year’s Wrestlemania hasn’t even reached it’s destination, WWE have already announced the location for next year’s event.
The news officially broke yesterday via NJ.com that wrestling’s “grandest stage of them all” is coming back to New Jersey.
The event will take place on Sunday April 7th, 2019, and will be hosted at Metlife Stadium of East Rutherford, New Jersey. WWE held a press conference discussing the official announcement today at Metlife. The list of speakers included Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, John Cena, The New Day, and New Jersey’s Governor Sheila Oliver.
They also announced a slew of other events for the week surrounding Wrestlemania 35, including:
- 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
- NXT TakeOver
- Monday Night Raw
- SmackDown LIVE
All of which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
While I would like them to explore areas other than the east coast (where they host the majority of their Wrestlemania’s), I can’t help but feel a tad selfishly satisfied. I live in CT, and my time in Orlando for last year’s Mania was the best trip of my life. So you can bet your ass I’ll be attending next year’s.
Below is the conference that took place today at Metlife Stadium. The conference begins at about the 3 minute mark.
