Will the NFL get an Ending to the 2020 Season?
The NFL had a great start to the beginning of the year with COVID-19 testing coming negative in the first three weeks of the season. However, all it took was one team for the league to start finding positive COVID-19 tests around the league. We all know about the Tennessee Titans and their outbreak with COVID-19, causing them to shut down their facility and reschedule their game against the Pittsburg Steelers.
Although the Titans might have had their issues with the virus by holding private workouts, causing their spread to widen, other teams around the league have experienced positive COVID-19 positive test results. The New England Patriots and the New York Jets are among other teams with positive results. So, what does this mean for the league in the future?
This unfortunate time is not going to end smoothly, but they cannot keep getting positive results with teams throughout the year. It is going to cause short weeks, less preparation, and lots of confusion. I do not know what the league will do regarding if more outbreaks occur, but one thing does seem to be happening, business as usual.
The NFL is working hard to continue play by monitoring that all teams follow the league’s Covid-19 protocol, maintain the schedule, and reschedule games as necessary. Hopefully, things will work out, and the NFL fan will have something to look forward to every wee
