New Batch of NFL Power Rankings
Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL Power Rankings! Week 13 brought some excitement on all levels! From divisional showdowns in the AFC North to a pivotal Monday Night Showdown between AFC East teams. Speaking of that, did the Patriots win over the Bills make them the best team in the AFC? You will have to find out!
It is wild how we have gotten here, but that’s the nature of the NFL Power Rankings, they are crazy as hell.
Now, before we dive into Week 14 make sure you check out last week!!
With that now out of the way, let’s see this week’s NFL Power Rankings!!
32. Houston Texans 2-10 (Last Week- 31)
I have nothing to say here, you all are aware of how the Texans are. No need to dive deep into it…
31. Detroit Lions 1-10-1 (Last Week- 32)
THEY FINALLY GOT A WIN!!!
The Lions finally got a win with a last-second touchdown by Jared Goff to Amon-Ra St. Brown to lift the Lions to a victory.
It is a well-deserved and long-awaited win for this team, especially for head coach, Dan Campbell.
They now get a matchup with the Broncos in Week 14.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars- 2-10 (Last Week- 30)
What a struggle of a season it has been for Urban Meyer, Trevor Lawrence, and the Jags. It is gonna be a bumpy ride to the end, as they now head to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans.
29. New York Jets-3-9 (Last Week- 29)
Zach Wilson showed some promise in a blowout loss to the Eagles on Sunday, and at this point that is all that really matters.
They will look to keep his progression going on Sunday when they play the Saints.
28. Chicago Bears 4-8 (Last Week- 26)
Luckily for the Bears, they get Justin Fields back for Week 14.
Andy Dalton hopped on the struggle bus last Sunday and rode it through the game, as he threw four interceptions in an ugly loss to the Cardinals.
They now get set for a showdown with the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
27. New York Giants 4-8 (Last Week- 24)
Daniel Jones had to miss the game against the Dolphins with a neck sprain, so enter Mike Glennon.
Ya, nothing changed… now Glennon has a concussion…
So, enter Jake Fromm for Week 14 against the LA Chargers.
26. Atlanta Falcons 5-7 (Last Week- 25)
Atlanta on offense is just something that is hard to watch, and it was once again this last week as they struggled against the Buccaneers.
So, from one rival to another, they now get set to face the Carolina Panthers.
25. Seattle Seahawks 4-8 (Last Week – 28)
I will give it to the Seahawks, they have some fight in them for sure, does not mean they are good.
All in all, they got a big win over the 49ers. While a run to the playoffs seems unlikely, they can still play the role of gatekeeper and kick some other teams out with them.
They get a matchup with the Houston Texans in Week 14.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-5-1 (Last Week – 27)
Pittsburgh got an impressive win over the Ravens on Sunday afternoon, it appears they heard Coach Tomlin’s words of “wisdom” and decided to turn it around.
Now by no means does this mean they are back, but it is a step in the right direction for sure.
They get a Thursday night date with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.
23. New Orleans Saints 5-6 (Last Week- 20)
Taysom Hill provided a small spark on offense, but overall it did not get the job done as the Saints drop yet another game, and fall even further out of the playoff picture.
They will look to bounce back in Week 14 when they face the New York Jets.
22. Denver Broncos 6-6 (Last Week – 19)
Sunday was a big matchup for the Denver Broncos, going up against a rival Chiefs team in the hunt got the AFC West. Well, the Broncos took two steps back in that game as they struggled to get the offense (passing-wise) going.
On the other hand, while the team is still looking for its future QB, they may have found their future RB in Javonte Williams, who ran all over the Chiefs’ defense on Sunday.
They now head get to face the Detroit Lions in Week 14.
21. Carolina Panthers 5-7 (Last Week – 21)
-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: VS. ATLANTA FALCONS
20. Minnesota Vikings 5-7 (Last Week- 17)
They lost to the Lions, I think that is all I need to say here…
19. Philadelphia Eagles 6-7 (Last Week- 22)
Minshew Maina is back in action and has now hit Philly. Minshew put up some good numbers against the Jets in Week 13. Now before everyone starts freaking out, no there is no controversy, Hurts will still be the starting QB, but, it is nice to know that you have a decent backup to have ready to go just in case.
They now head into the BYE with a 6-7 record and hoping to make a push after the BYE.
18. Cleveland Browns 6-6 (Last Week – 18)
-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS
17. Miami Dolphins 6-7 (Last Week – 23)
Miami is on an absolute heater right now. They have now ripped off five straight wins, and are looking really good on all aspects of the field.
Even more encouraging is that Tua is throwing a damn good ball right now, and looked good against the Giants, and just overall during this five-game winning streak.
They now get a week to rest and get healthy before taking on the Jets in Week 15.
16. Las Vegas Raiders 6-6 (Last Week – 12)
Ah yes, the Raiders, still in an absolute free fall. They lose yet again, this time to Washington.
They are at risk of missing playoffs yet again, and if they do want to make a strong push it has to start now, in Week 14 when they head to Arrowhead to face a red-hot Cheifs team.
15. San Francisco 49ers 6-6 (Last Week – 15)
A massive game from TE, George Kittle was overshadowed by a tough loss to the Seahawks, thanks to a batted down pass in the final seconds.
It is hard to tell exactly what this 49ers team actually is, a contender to not? That being said, they need to start to pick up the pace as they come down the stretch here.
They will travel to face the Bengals in Week 14.
14. Washington Football Team 6-6 (Last Week – 16)
Washington is on the rise once again in this week’s NFL Power Rankings. The Football Team took to Vegas and won on a game-winning field goal.
They now sit 2 games back of the Cowboys for the NFC East. They still face each other twice.
It will not be easy, but a clear path is starting to open for Washington, and if they can beat the Cowboys on Sunday, they will in fact be taking a step in the right direction.
13. Tennessee Titans 8-4 (Last Week – 13)
-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: VS. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
12. Indianapolis Colts 7-6 (Last Week- 14)
The Colts pummeled Houston on Sunday, as they should, and now go into the BYE week with a 7-6 record and looking to be clicking on all cylinders offensively.
Coming off the BYE in two weeks, the Colts will have two critical games that could end up being season-defining between the Patriots and Cardinals.
They will be put through a tough test, so the question is, can they overcome it?
11. Cincinnati Bengals 7-5 (Last Week – 7)
Joe Burrow played through a nasty-looking dislocated pinky. While the team was straight-up dominated by the Chargers. It was a tough loss but wasn’t anything to worry about.
They will look to bounce back in Week 14 against the 49ers.
10. Kansas City Chiefs 8-4 (Last Week – 11)
Kansas City sneaks back into the Top 10 of the NFL Power Rankings this week with a nice win over Denver on Sunday Night Football.
Offensively they still seem to be in a funk, dropping passes they shouldn’t be, etc… defensively they are looking better, and are getting the job done.
They look to keep it rolling when they host the Raiders in Week 14.
9. Los Angeles Rams 8-4 (Last Week – 9)
Los Angeles was also able to get back in the win column after a rough couple of weeks. Even if it was just the Jaguars.
They will look to keep it going in Week 14 when they face the Arizona Cardinals.
8. Los Angeles Chargers 7-5 (Last Week – 10)
Chargers got a statement win over the Bengals in Week 13. Herbert and Co. rolled to the win in Cincy on Sunday. Meanwhile, the defense dominated the Bengals O-Line and got to Burrow in big spots. Overall a fantastic performance from the Chargers.
They will look to keep it going (without Keenan Allen, COVID-19) when they face a struggling New York Giants team on Sunday.
7. Buffalo Bills 7-5 (Last Week – 6)
Buffalo got beat up in Week 13. Mentally and physically, the run plan of the Patriots in the cold weather absolutely brutalized them. It is a tough time for this to happen, especially with their upcoming schedule, but they will have to shake out of it quickly.
They head to Tampa Bay on Sunday to take on the Buccaneers.
6. Dallas Cowboys 8-4 (Last Week – 8)
Dallas looked like they got back to form in Week 13, with the return of Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott looked a lot more comfortable. So, because of that, they jump up two spots in this week’s NFL Power Rankings.
They will look to keep it rolling when they face a red-hot Washington Football Team in Week 14.
5. Baltimore Ravens 8-4 (Last Week- 3)
Baltimore took a tough loss at the hands of the Steelers at home on Sunday Afternoon. This team has not looked right in the last couple of weeks, let alone the injuries plaguing them, offensively they have not been the same. Add that to the fact that Marlon Humphrey is now out for the season, the Ravens now have a lot of holes in their team.
They will look to bounce back in Week 14 when they go up against the Browns in Cleveland.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-3 (Last Week – 4)
Tampa Bay looked good in Week 13 taking down the Atlanta Falcons. Not much else to say here.
They will now get set to host the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.
3. New England Patriots 9-4 (Last Week- 5)
The Patriots Ran it down the Bills’ throats in Week 13 en route to their seventh straight win.
The Patriots did it again, and because of it, they are now the top seed in the AFC, and the AFC East. It was not a pretty win, but it does not need to be, and given the weather, it was better than expected.
They have proven up to this point that they are the best in the AFC, and thanks to the win and the Ravens loss, they are officially in that spot. This week moving up two spots in the NFL Power Rankings.
The Patriots now head into the BYE before going to Indy to take on a tough Colts team on a Saturday night in Week 15.
2. Green Bay Packers 9-3 (Last Week – 2)
-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: VS. CHICAGO BEARS
1. Arizona Cardinals 10-2 (Last Week – 1)
Arizona got back Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins and neither missed a beat as they dominated the Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon.
Now, they are still looking like the team to beat in the NFL, making them once again the number 1 team in this week’s NFL Power Rankings.
They will now have a big matchup with division rival Rams on Monday Night Football.
Wrapping up the Week 13 NFL Power Rankings
The Patriots are making moves and looking like contenders once again. While teams like the Raiders are quickly fading.
The NFC is still wide open as well… it is all gonna come down to an exciting ending!
It will make for a fun stretch run for sure! So make sure to keep it here every Wednesday for updated NFL Power Rankings!
