After beating the Falcons on Thursday night and having a mini BYE week, the New England Patriots looked to keep rolling. They headed back to Foxboro to take on the top-seeded Tennessee Titans in Week 12.
The team of course would come away with the 36-13 win on Sunday Afternoon.
So without further ado, let’s break down the New England Patriots Week 12 win.
Mac Jones looked Confident for the Patriots in Week 12.
It seems like I have said this each week, but it is very true, rookie QB, Mac Jones has looked to be getting better and better each week. That was even more true in Week 12.
The young signal-caller had a career-high 310 yards while throwing for two touchdowns. He was 23 for 32 passing. Jones once again showed poise and patience in the pocket, including on this throw to Jakobi Meyers.
Another big play between Mac Jones and Jacobi Meyers.
80 first half yards for Meyers. Jones throwing with anticipation.

This play alone has shown how much confidence he has built since Week 1, let alone the confidence McDaniels has in the rookie to throw the deep ball now. Players say his throws are so “easily catchable” and that when it lands in their hands “it is like a pillow”. The drop rates for receivers this year are very low for this team for the first time in a while, according to yo Doug Kyed, and a lot of that has to do with the quarterback and his confidence. The kid will look to keep it going under the primetime lights next Monday night.
Jakobi Meyers led all receivers with 98 yards, while Kendrick Bourne had 61 yards coupled with 2 touchdowns.
As for the rushing, as a whole, the team was just slightly over 100 yards, with Rhamondre Stevenson leading with 46 yards on five carries. While Damien Harris had 40 yards on 5 carries and 1 touchdown.
All in all the offense is in the right place heading into a big showdown on Monday Night Football against Buffalo.
Defense Stays Scorching Hot with Another Stellar Performance.
Another week, another impressive performance from the New England Patriots. Prior to winning their sixth straight game, the defense had allowed an average of 10 points per game to opposing offenses. It was no different in Week 12 as they held Ryan Tannehill and the Titan’s offense to just 13 points.
The defense as a whole was able to keep pressure on Tannehill and hold him to only 93 yards on 11 for 21 passing with one touchdown.
Matt Judon recorded sack 11.5 on the season, while Ju’Whaun Bentley also recorded a sack. Meanwhile, JC Jackson recorded his seventh interception of the season on a big play in the endzone to keep the Titans from scoring. Jackson also was credited with forcing a fumble in the win.
#Patriots CB JC Jackson is so ridiculous, yet another INT this season.

So, as I said, the defense stayed hot once again as they did what they have done every week and shut down yet another offense. They will have a tough test next week against Josh Allen and the Bills, it will be a legit test of the defense in what should be an interesting matchup.
Wrapping Up a Patriots Week 12 Win.
This win now places the Patriots in sole possession of first place in the AFC East, while they now sit in second place in the AFC.
It was a dominant win also, regardless if it was against a depleted Titans offense, but, the Patriots did what they needed to do and won. The focus now shifts to next Monday night in what could be one of the biggest games of the year when they head to Orchard Park to face the Buffalo Bills.
A win for the Patriots would mean sole possession and an upper hand in the AFC East. So as Bill Belichick says “8 wins ain’t gonna win you nothing.” Enjoy this win for a day, and then we are on to Buffalo!
NEXT UP: Week 13: at Buffalo Bills, Monday, December 6th at 8:15 pm on ESPN.
