Washington Redskins to Sign Adrian Peterson
Today, the Washington Redskins made a BIG signing:
He’s back: The #Redskins are signing former Pro Bowl RB Adrian Peterson, source tells me and @MikeGarafolo. Immediate help in the wake of a string of injuries at the position. 🔏

*checks calendar* Just kidding, guys. It’s not 2012 anymore, meaning that this move is pointless.
Sure, AD is going to go down as a Hall of Famer, but those days are faaaaaaar behind him. He’s not the same guy who fell just a few yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson’s all-time rushing record for a season. And he’s not the same guy that came back 9 months post-ACL-surgery and won MVP. The man is 33 years old, which is close to pushing 70 in running-back years. He’s washed up, but the Redskins need bodies. Darius Guice is out for the year, Samaje Perine, Byron Marshall, and Rob Kelley are all going to miss some time. That’s a situation where you take a flight risk on a guy like AD. Maybe he still has some left in the tank? I personally doubt it, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
