Tuck Rule Takes Ep. 73 – Bye Jakobi Meyers

Topics:

The Patriots say bye to Jakobi Meyers in free agency…and the Tuck Rule Boys have some takes on it. HOWEVER, the episode starts with some BREAKING NEWS that Jabrill Peppers is coming back to the team on a two year deal. They mix that in while officially starting off with going over Devin McCourty retiring. And then the free agency talk begins. The guys discuss each and every move the Patriots have made (or haven’t made) so far early into free agency. Jonathan Jones is back as the team’s number one corner, but one of the guys isn’t sold on him yet. Is Jones a true number 1 corner or is he just a piece on a good defense?

Then they move on to the trade of Jonnu Smith to the Falcons for a measly 7th round pick. Smith will most likely go down as one of the worst signing in Bill Belichick history, but not due to lack of talent. Patriots fans may just be spoiled due to years and year of utter dominance. Perhaps with Jakobi Meyers, a fan favorite, being sent away, the fan base is just fed up. Lastly, the guys break down who they want to see the team sign when it comes to wide receivers. All that and more on this week’s episode!
