Tomorrow Night Might Be The Last Time We Witness Greatness

We all know what’s at stake tomorrow night. The Patriots host the Tennessee Titans in a 3 vs. 6 Wild Card matchup at Gillette Stadium. There’s obviously a more intriguing storyline that adds to all of this. Will this be the last time Tom Brady plays at Gillette Stadium in a Patriots uniform?

What Lies Ahead

The Patriots have to win tomorrow night to move onto the divisional round. If they win tomorrow night, they have a rematch at Arrowhead against the Kansas City Chiefs. Should they beat the Chiefs and either the Bills/Texans upset the Ravens, then the Patriots can come back home for an AFC Championship once again. However, it looks like the Patriots will be on the road after Saturday night, as long as they keep winning. Once the season is over, Tom Brady is a free agent. We’ve heard rumblings about the Chargers, Dolphins, Titans, and other teams so far. We’ll see what happens in the off-season.

Brady’s Legacy

Imagine telling Tom Brady in 2000 about all that he would accomplish in the NFL over 20 years? He might have laughed you out of the building. But really, let’s see a few of these accomplishments. Six Super Bowl wins, four Super Bowl MVP’s, three NFL MVP awards, a Comeback Player of the Year award in 2009, you get the picture. Tom Brady has meant more to this organization than we all thought would be possible. No matter what happens in the future, Brady will be a legend and hero in New England. He was a big part of the reason that the Patriots started a winning tradition. His attention to detail, his intelligence, and his work ethic will never be forgotten. Whether it’s next year, the year after, whenever he leaves New England for good; you won’t hear a boo from any New England Patriots fan toward Brady in the future.

In Conclusion

This could be the end of Tom Brady in Gillette Stadium as a New England Patriot. Hopefully, he puts on a last great performance. Again, the stars could align for another home game in the AFC championship if the Patriots can somehow get there. But assuming they don’t, the crowd better get a little louder than ever before. Do I hope this is Brady’s last game in Gillette as a Patriot? No. I love winning way too much! But if it is, thanks for everything Mr. Brady.
