TLC is shaping up to be a big PPV
December is never regarded as an important period for wrestling. In fact, it’s usually really lackluster. The period between Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble is normally a drag.
Upcoming pay per view TLC (Tables Ladders and Chairs) is looking to be a rare occasion of spicing things up between the 2 big events.
From RAW, we’ve got Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin, which has been building for some weeks now. Ronda Rousey, which was actually a really solid match the first time they fought. And Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins, which is a storied rivalry with a huge backstory.
And on the SmackDown side, we’ve got Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles for the WWE championship, a Mania level matchup in its own right. Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio is brewing up as something fierce. Samoa Joe wants a piece of Jeff Hardy as we saw the other night. And finally, the hottest act in the company, Becky Lynch will defend her championship against both Charlotte and Asuka.
As of this morning, it’s also rumored that Bray Wyatt may be making a return debut at the event. He’s been off TV for some time now, and has been ready to return, but not used.
Despite the absence of a few big names, Alexa Bliss, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and most notably Roman Reigns, TLC should be a pretty big show. As we’ve seen recently, bad TV doesn’t always mean a bad PPV. I’m looking at you, RAW.
Catch TLC on Sunday, December 16th.
