The Boston Celtics have lost their last three outings, two of which came against their division rival, Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics, Jaylen Brown, has been absolutely incredible this season. The league has seen his game in approve so much. Despite the loss last night, Brown had 42 points with 9 rebounds and was keeping the Celtics in that game. Now, is it time to panic if you are a Celtics fan? The simple answer is no.
The Celtics have fell from the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference, to the 4th seed in just one week. However, this team is missing their best player in Jayson Tatum. Tatum was expected to return to action Friday but due to COVID-19, he wasn’t ready. Coach Brad Stevens says he is close to returning.
So, while we wait for Tatum’s return, Jaylen Brown has been carrying the load the games Tatum has been out. However, Brown’s teammates have been coming up short. Point Guard, Kemba Walker has return to action for the Celtics and that is really good for the team. However, Walker is on a minute’s restriction as he gets back into the swing of things. With that being said, this is moment for players, like Marcus Smart, Jeff Teague, and Tristan Thompson to step up. We have seen flashes of good moments but it has not been consistent throughout the games.
The Celtics haven’t looked like the team we expect them to be this season. However, with Tatum being out and Walker just returning, this team hasn’t hit their stride yet. Brown has been leading by example despite the last three games, which is what you want to see as a Celtic fan. No one is pointing the finger and no one is panicking. That is what you want in a young team like the Celtics.

Once Tatum returns, with Walker getting back into a rhythm and Brown continuing to play at an All-Star level, this team will start to show the league that they are championship team.
